Amazon Creators API

Configure Amazon Creators API (OAuth 2.0) credentials as an alternative or supplement to classic PAAPI.

Amazon Creators API

Amazon Creators API lets AutoDeals use Amazon OAuth 2.0 credentials in place of, or in addition to, the classic Amazon APIs (PAAPI).

Configuration is in:

Channel โ†’ Settings โ†’ Creators API Credentials

What you need

From the Amazon Associates / Creators API panel you need:

  • Credential ID;
  • Credential Secret;
  • Partner Tag;
  • Version.

The `Credential Secret` is usually shown **only once** when you create the credential. Save it somewhere safe right away.

Available versions

In the mini-app you can pick:

CodeVersion
EU v22.2
EU v33.2
NA v22.1
NA v33.1
FE v22.3
FE v33.3

For Europe usually use 2.2 or 3.2. If unsure, pick the version listed in your Amazon Associates dashboard.

Configuration

  1. Open the channel.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Enter Creators API Credentials.
  4. Enter Credential ID.
  5. Enter Credential Secret.
  6. Enter Partner Tag.
  7. Pick the Version.
  8. Save.

When to use it

Use it if:

  • you have Creators API access in your Amazon account;
  • you want to improve Amazon search and product data;
  • PAAPI isn't available or you want to migrate to the new system.

Difference from PAAPI

SystemCredentials
PAAPIAccess Key, Secret Key, Partner Tag
Creators APICredential ID, Credential Secret, Partner Tag, Version

They are two different setups. If you don't know which you have, check which section exists in your Amazon Associates dashboard.

Delete credentials

If you need to change account or fix a wrong setup, use Delete in the Creators API section, then enter new credentials.
